Hi
The 14-inch MacBook Pro is believed to adopt the improved thermals of the current 16-inch MacBook Pro model, with a larger heat pipe, added thermal pads, and a 35 percent larger heat sink.
In 2019, some customers of 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pro models began to notice an odd 'stage lighting' effect that would impact their screen, potentially causing the laptop to be unusable. The current Sky Go live player really overheats almost every kind of computer, and it has for a while. Try using the silver light player. Type Sky Go into the search field in the top right and make sure ‘This Mac’ is selected. Find the ‘Sky Go Player’ in the search results and drag it to the trash.
I use Sky Go on my old mac mini (Late 2009) to watch F1

I've just come to do the same again this year and it looks like they have updated things and it is now terrible/unwatchable with glitches every few seconds and the sound is about 0.5secs out of step with the picture the whole time
They say the min spec is a 1.8 Core Duo and mini is 2.26 with 3gb ram connected to a LG HD TV via HDMI
Is any one using Sky Go on this sort of setup or even a much newer mac mini connected to a hd tv ? does it perform this badly for you ? or is it fine ?
